Pipe Flow
About Pipe Flow
Pipe Flow is a free online pipe-connecting puzzle. A grid is filled with pipe pieces (straights, corners, T-junctions and crosses) all twisted in random directions. In the middle sits a water source. Tap any piece to rotate it a quarter turn. When pipes connect back to the source, water flows through them and they light up blue. Get every single piece connected to finish the level.
Each puzzle is generated as a single connected network, so there is always a solution with no leftover pipes. The red rings mark the open ends of the network, and they turn green when water reaches them. Levels start on a small 4×4 grid and grow every few levels, all the way up to 9×9 boards with dozens of pieces. Your level is saved so you can keep going next time.
How to Play Pipe Flow
- Tap or click any pipe to rotate it 90° clockwise.
- Pipes connected to the 💧 water source turn blue.
- End pieces show a red ring until water reaches them, then turn green.
- The Connected counter shows how much of the grid has water.
- Reach 100% to complete the level, then press Next level.
- The grid gets bigger every few levels.
Tips and Strategy for Pipe Flow
Start at the edges and corners. A piece on the edge of the grid cannot point outward, so there are fewer ways it can be turned. A corner piece in a corner of the board has only one possible position. Fixing these first gives you solid anchors to work inward from.
End pieces with a single opening are just as helpful. Two end pieces can never point at each other, because that would make a closed pair cut off from the rest of the network. Straight pipes only have two real positions, so if one does not fit horizontally it must be vertical. Working out these certain pieces first is much faster than rotating pieces at random.
